Project:
Husab Uranium Project
Client: Swakop Uranium
Commodity: Uranium
Location: Husab Uranium Project, is a uranium mine under development near the town of Swakopmund in the Erongo region of western-central Namibia. The mine is located approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) from Walvis Bay.
Project Scope: Husab will be developed as an open-pit mining operation that uses a conventional truck and shovel method. It will avail loading and hauling equipment on a huge scale for the mining. The ore extracted from the mine will be fed to the processing plant to produce high grade uranium. A conventional acid leach plant will be used to process the ore.

Review the feasibility study and execute Quantity Surveying and Contract administration services during construction.

Project Highlights: The Husab Mine is expected to be the second largest uranium mine in the world after the McArthur River uranium mine in northern Saskatchewan, Canada and the largest open-pit mine on the African continent.
