| Project Scope: | By 2021, the diamond-bearing ore at the current Venetia Mine Open Pit Operations is expected to be depleted.
The Venetia Underground Project will convert the Venetia open pit mine in South Africa into an underground operation, thus extending production to 2043. The project entails developing the decline from the surface to a depth of 900 metres and sinking two vertical shafts, each seven metres in diameter, to a depth of 1,080 metres. |
