In his career of nearly 20 years he has worked on a variety of mining and infrastructure projects in commodities such as coal (Grootegeluk Medupi Expansion Project), iron-ore (Sishen-South (Kolomela) Project), platinum (ACP Smelter and various concentrators), gold (Kibali), uranium, nickel, mineral sands as well as large infrastructure and Stay-in-Business projects across the African continent.
Philip is spearheading the development of various industry-leading standards within the Quantity Surveying profession.

- 1997-present: Joined PCC as a candidate quantity surveyor. After a number of years as a director, he was appointed in 2016 as the managing director of PCC South Africa
